We Love Velvet! No, we don't mean the loo roll!

We Love Velvet! No, we don’t mean the loo roll!

The first mention of velvet was in the 14th Century when it was used in Religious garments for high status members of the church and of course, Royalty.

Velvet has always been considered to be the height of luxury and opulence and was used in the best homes and palaces throughout the world.

Did you know that President Ford had velvet curtains in the White House in the USA & King George V had 1000yds of the luxurious material made for his coronation made by the famous Listers Velvet Company of Manningham, Bradford?

So, by now, you are probably thinking ‘ What on earth has this got to do with printing?’

Business cards have progressed over the years from, handmade to printed on various materials but the latest innovation is Velvet lamination!

This type of finish gives an immediate feeling of high quality and opulence and to be honest, most people like to stroke the card as it is so unusual!  (Yes we agree it’s a bit weird!)

Due to the finish the colours stand out more than with matt lamination and give added vibrancy to the finished product.

To celebrate the arrival of our new cards we would like to offer you 1000 double sided business cards printed in full colour both sides on to 450gsm board with a velvet lamination for only £59 plus vat  (a saving of £30 off the normal price)until the 31st October 2015.
